Cheryl the author holds the title as one of Illinois’ most Influential Women in Business. Her experience in the business community has garnered her several awards to include the Entrepreneur of the Year® in 1991. This award and recognition is one of the highest achievements for an entrepreneur. The EOY award is a sponsor of the accounting and professional services firms of Ernst & Young, Inc. Magazine and Merrill Lynch.

Cheryl is an inductee into the Institute of American Entrepreneurs(TM) and is a two-time recipient of SBA’s IL Business Person of the Year award. Cheryl is in the process of completing her book, Adversity to Prosperity, to be released in the second half of 2021, hopefully.

I loved the author’s story when she shared her journey of how she came out on top in spite of the setbacks, and tears. I admire the author’s strength to tell her story in such a way that captivated me to the end.

The book kind of flipped to the chapter of "crazy" and I found that so compelling, I read that to the end. You are one talented lady because your writing is so engaging.

When you read the book you will find what it really takes to start and run a successful company. I am starting a new business, and I wanted some insight into do's and don'ts, I found them all after reading Cheryl's book.

A MUST READ for Amazing life lessons. This book is not a book I would normally go to, as I have an “I can't do that, so I won’t attitude.” The writer is brutally honest; a few pages in, you can tell that the writer, writes from experience, with pride, humility, and failure, only to rise above each failure. You do not want a candy-sugarcoated person guiding your success. People hurt you to watch you fail. People celebrate you because they see themselves in the writer [or hope to]. This book is one of strength through adversity and heartache with evil people, and joy with beautiful people. This book is a life story to see if "Entrepreneurship is for you,” and if you are open to "tough it out through turbulence." This writer rocks!
